Effectively keeping
her face in ours and demonstrating a complete lack of remorse or having learned any
lesson, Martha Stewart walked into the same Manhattan courthouse where she was convicted
in 2004. |
|
Her purpose is to overturn her conviction. She entered through a side entrance
joking with federal marshals while passing through a metal detector. |
| Separately, Stewart
had last year asked her company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, to reimburse her for a
portion of her legal bills. The $3.7 million request applied to her defense on one
criminal count. Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia announced in its regular 10-K filing that
it believes the reimbursement to Stewart will be covered under its insurance coverage of
directors and officers. |
