Don't do this
yourself. If you do, you may be perceived as too powerful, sexy, and, actually, well
dressed. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice
arrived at Wiesbaden Army Airfield in Germany wearing a black skirt that went to just
above the knee. She wore a black coat that came to mid-calf. The coat had seven gold
buttons down the front and on its collar. |
| The Washington
Post newspaper characterized Ms. Rice's appearance as follows. "Rice's coat and
boots speak of sex and power -- such a volatile combination, and one that in political
circles rarely leads to anything but scandal. When looking at the image of Rice in
Wiesbaden, the mind searches for ways to put it all into context. It turns to fiction, to
caricature. To shadowy daydreams. Dominatrix!" |
| Ms. Rice was well
dressed. Well dressed is so rare today that it over came journalism's juvenile minds.
Those are the minds charged with the responsibility of reporting important news, such as,
the diplomatic efforts of the US Secretary of State. As usual, Ms. Rice had no need to
appear dowdy or bare her thighs, or distract from her mission. She dressed with style. She
is a competent lady and, fortunately for the US, she is Secretary of State. |
